Go vs. Goal Pronunciation
At the end of the year, it's natural to think about goals. Maybe one of yours is to speak English more clearly and confidently. But are you pronouncing goal correctly?
In American English, the L at the end of a word is often called a dark L. Unlike the L at the beginning of a word, the dark L involves raising the back of your tongue while the front stays relatively low. You may feel the sound farther back in your mouth.
Practice with words like goal, feel, and sell. Then try this sentence: “Go for your goals!”
Small pronunciation adjustments can make a difference in how naturally you speak. You don't have to change everything at once. Start by noticing one sound and practicing it in everyday conversation.

And while you're here, what are your English goal? Have you thought about what you'd like to improve? Let me know in the comments!
